Safe. Stable. Secure.

FDIC Insurance -Your deposits are covered up to $250,000, per depositor per ownership category, just as they would be at any other bank in the country. You may have more coverage depending upon how the accounts are set up. For more information on the FDIC or to determine coverage, go to http://www.fdic.gov/deposit/deposits/.

All U.S. commercial banks pay an insurance premium to the FDIC in order to provide you with insurance protection on your deposit accounts in their bank. While the Federal government stands behind the fund, the banking industry provides 100% of the funding. The FDIC does not insure the money you invest in stocks, mutual funds, life insurance policies, annuities, or municipal securities even if you purchase these products through an FDIC insured bank.

Market Share -As early as June 30, 2011, Oak View had achieved the number three market share position in Fauquier County. This was quite an accomplishment considering the fact that the bank had just opened two years before. For current information please refer to the Fauquier Now article Local Banks Still hold About Half of County Market Share that appeared on October 7, 2013 or the FDIC website of www2.fdic.gov/sod/index.asp

Better Business Bureau - Oak View is recognized as a BBB Accredited Business by the Better Business Bureau.

BauerFinancial Star Rating -As of June 30, 2013 data, Oak View is rated 5 of 5 stars by BauerFinancial™ Star-Rating. BauerFinancial has designed a nationally-recognized star-rating system, with the conscientious consumer in mind. Criteria used to determine the proprietary BauerFinancial™ Star-Rating system include but are not limited to: capital ratio, profitability/loss trend, evaluating the level of delinquent loans, charge-offs and repossessed assets, the market versus book value of the investment portfolio, regulatory supervisory agreements, the community reinvestment rating (CRA), historical data and liquidity.
For more information on Oak View, or BauerFinancial™ Star-Rating on other banks, go to www.bankstars.com.

Texas Ratio - The Texas ratio is a measure of a bank's credit troubles. It is an industry standard for calculating the health of a bank, but is not the only factor to consider. It is calculated by dividing the value of the lender's non-performing assets (Non performing loans + Real Estate Owned) by the sum of its tangible common equity capital and loan loss reserves. The higher the Texas ratio, the more severe the bank's credit troubles; anything over 100% is considered at risk. As of June 30, 2013 Oak View has a Texas Ratio of 0, making it one of the 342 safest banks in the country.

Well Capitalized -The bank's capital ratios remain above the minimum level established by its regulator to be considered “well capitalized”, which is the top category. As of March 31, 2014, the Bank's total risk-based capital ratio was 14.48%, compared to 14.71% as of December 31, 2013.
